INSTRUCTOR: Kat Rosenberg
As a child, Katherine discovered that a wide variety of materials found around the home could be successfully utilized for creating. Art classes soon began in an attempt to channel her creativity away from walls, furniture, and book pages. While a student at the University of Central Florida, applied art was continuously present and an unofficial minor, despite graduating with a B.S. in Psychology. Professionally, Katherine has had an eclectic work experience, including content writing, property rentals, yacht crew, space organizer, and 10 years as a professional dog trainer. However, creating interesting and beautiful things by drawing inspiration from surrounding elements and working with available materials has been her defining throughline. Since moving to Cape Cod from Florida, Kat has funneled these skills into ceramic art and honed her artistry under the mentorship of Holly Heaslip in the Hilliard Studios here at the Center.
